Concor COR 2.5 Tablet contains bisoprolol fumarate, a beta-blocker specifically prescribed for chronic heart failure and hypertension. By slowing the heart rate and reducing the heart's workload, it helps manage cardiovascular conditions, but it can cause certain side effects:

Common/Minor Issues :

1. Dizziness or lightheadedness: Especially when standing up quickly, due to lowered blood pressure or slowed heart rate as the body adjusts.

2. Fatigue, tiredness, or weakness: Temporary feelings of low energy or lethargy, particularly during the first few weeks of starting or increasing the dose.

3. Cold hands and feet: Reduced circulation to the extremities due to the beta-blocking effect.

4. Mild digestive upset: Occasional nausea, diarrhea, or mild stomach discomfort.

When to Stop Use & Seek Medical Attention :

1. Severe allergic reaction: Signs such as skin rash, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, or difficulty breathing.

2. Signs of excessively slow heart rate (Bradycardia) or severe low blood pressure: If you experience extreme dizziness, fainting, confusion, or a resting pulse rate that drops significantly below your doctor's recommended target.

3. Worsening heart failure symptoms: Sudden weight gain, increasing shortness of breath, or worsening swelling in the ankles or legs.

4. Important Precaution: Never stop taking this medication abruptly. Abruptly discontinuing a beta-blocker can cause a dangerous rebound worsening of your heart condition, chest pain, or rapid heart rate. Any changes or discontinuation must be done gradually under direct medical supervision.
