Understanding the mechanism of action
Possible side effects and reactions
Zerodol-SP Tablet (a combination of Aceclofenac, Paracetamol, and Serratiopeptidase) is a prescription medication used to manage pain and inflammation, but it can cause side effects in some individuals:
Gastrointestinal discomfort: Mild stomach upset, nausea, heartburn, indigestion, or abdominal pain.
Mild systemic effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, or headache as the body processes the medication.
Severe allergic reaction: Intense itching, widespread rash, hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Serious or emergent adverse effects: Signs of gastrointestinal bleeding (such as black, tarry stools, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, or severe persistent abdominal pain), unusual bruising or bleeding, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), dark urine, unexplained weight gain, or swelling in the hands, legs, or feet.
Important precautions and warnings
Stomach Ulcer / Bleeding Risk: Because it contains aceclofenac (an NSAID), prolonged use or use in individuals with a history of peptic ulcers, gastric bleeding, or inflammatory bowel disease requires extreme caution and protective stomach-acid-suppressing medication (such as a PPI).
Liver & Kidney Health: Inform your doctor if you have pre-existing kidney disease, liver impairment, or chronic alcoholism, as paracetamol and NSAIDs are metabolized through these organs.
Heart Disease & Blood Pressure: Consult your physician before use if you have hypertension, heart disease, or a history of stroke.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Zerodol-SP must not be used during the later stages of pregnancy (third trimester) and should be avoided during breastfeeding unless explicitly prescribed by your gynecologist.
Alcohol Warning: Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medication, as it significantly increases the risk of liver damage (due to paracetamol) and gastric bleeding.
